I haven't used iSeries Access (or System i Access or Access for i or whatever it is called today) for emulation in a long, long time. I have used tn5250j pretty much exclusively for the past 5 years. I used to use Mochasoft because it was cheap and worked well but I didn't like the limitation on how the System names displayed and how many you could have in the list. I really liked the tabs feature in tn5250j.

At free, it beat the cost of Mochasoft, and since I can use it in Linux and Windows it is a "familiar" emulator, regardless of OS.

I changed to tn5250j and never looked back.

Hello,
Have any Windows users changed to using tn5250j on a daily basis? If anyone
has done it or tried I'm interested in hearing your experiences, good and
bad.

I've used tn5250j a handful of times and really like it, but I'm so used to
iSeries Access I'm a little hesitant on switching over to it. At the same
time, I'm tired of having a separate JRE for every IBM product I install. Do
Notes, Sametime, Install Manager, RDi and iSeries Access all need a separate
JRE!

Thanks in advance,
