Yes, that was one of the reasons I like it too. Plus I really like the tabs
rather than new windows. I think that will take a little getting used to,
but too many windows drives me crazy.

Thanks for you input. I know there are others using it on Linux, but I'm
glad to know there are others doing it on a windows too. I think I'm going
for it.

I do know how to run it under javaw. Right now I'm running it via a command
prompt because there is an error when trying to close the window. I haven't
tried to track it down yet, but it has to do with an observer it looks like.
Basically the JVM will stay open, so I wanted to be able to use ctrl+c to
kill the JVM

If you are interested, there is a pretty good Java library that allows you
to create Windows executables. Take a look at launch4j. You can create an
exe file with VM arguments if you want to increase your initial memory heap.

I have been using TN5250J for years. I hate Client Access. The best part is
the 132 support. With TN52050J I can change the fonts and get a full screen
instead of half the screen being blank.

One thing they don't give you is how to setup to run under JavaW. If you
are
interested in that let me know.

Hello,
Have any Windows users changed to using tn5250j on a daily basis? If
anyone
has done it or tried I'm interested in hearing your experiences, good and
bad.

I've used tn5250j a handful of times and really like it, but I'm so used
to
iSeries Access I'm a little hesitant on switching over to it. At the same
time, I'm tired of having a separate JRE for every IBM product I install.
Do
Notes, Sametime, Install Manager, RDi and iSeries Access all need a
separate
JRE!

Thanks in advance,
