I had an opposite situation years ago on a S/3. The heat went out on the coldest day of the winter (it does get very cold in TN at times). We powered up the /3 just to heat that side of the building!

One place I worked at had AC problems off and on over a period of months. I
used to start thinking about powering the AS400's down when the Sun boxes
started failing and throwing disks. They really didn't like the heat...

The AC in the room is out. Does the iSeries have an auto shutdown function,
warning system, etc, if it gets too hot? What temp in the room is "safe",
will it fry itself, should it me shut down, etc?

Tim
