I need to send printed output to an outside entity. Our corporate office has established a VPN connection with the outside entity. They use Anentail to establish a connection through our corporate office to our i. The IP on the device session does not match the IP of their computer. I have been told by our corporate office that printing is not possible. I had earlier tried to establish a remote output queue, but the IP address is the issue. On the remote site, the printer is attached to a pc, and they have installed the LPD software, and the printer is shared.

Wild thought came to me late last night - lpr over ssh. I have read where it can be done. In this case, the connection would bypass the VPN, assuming the corporate office allowed it. But, I am wondering if anybody has ever set up lpr over ssh from the i. Is this in one of the RedBooks on printing?
