I did see a few posts in the archives about sort sequences and everything appears to have the same sequence. The queries are built on the data warehouse server using a tool called Informatica and run on the iSeries. Looking at the listener and query jobs shows a sort sequence of *HEX. The indexes also have a sort sequence of *HEX.

I is sounding like a PMR might be in order.

SQE does not time out, CQE may.

Sort Sequence differences may play into this scenario.

In case it's an IBM bug, submit a PMR to IBM. They won't correct the advice engine unless they hear from the customers on this issue.
