Hmmm. Good point. Who is Jeff Olen?

He's an author...

Be sure to look at the reviews here.

He's an IBM techie...

An old school techie at that...

He's a member of COMMON and a IBM i advocate from way back. Now he is
assisting in the
effort to revitalize the IBM i marketplace...along with several hundred
other companies and individuals
around the world. Is there anything else you need to know? It was almost
chance that I was the
one to set the ball rolling for iManifest in the U.S. But I was happy to do
it.

iManifest is not just a series of ads. That's just the beginning. The
original Japanese
declaration lays out some the goals but the basic objectives are:

- To revitalize the IBM i market in Japan and increase the customer base.
- To assure IBM i customers, resellers and ISVs selling IBM i solutions
that IBM i will not only survive but continue to prosper.
- To inform the wider IT community of the unique value proposition of the
IBM i server.

As an IBM i developer, user or reseller, why would you not get involved?
There's no downside for us.

- Jeff

How are a handful of ads professing love for the AS/400, iSeries, i5,

As vendors we can continue to write and release software for the
platform and continue to take advantage of the new technologies released
for the box/OS. That's how my company pledges to continue supporting the
platform and taking a proactive role.

Am I the only one who's never heard of Jeff Olen ? :-)

Instead of worrying or debating the future of the IBM i why not take a
more
proactive role? Join one of the iManifest initiatives in Japan, the
European Union or the U.S. One of their primary objectives is to get
the
word out and get more new IBM i customers.
