Hi, James:

At V5R2 (maybe V5R1) and above, you need to check the system value QLIBLCKLVL.

DSPSYSVAL QLIBLCKLVL

shows:

Display System Value
System value . . . . . : QLIBLCKLVL Description . . . . . : Library locking level

Library locking level : 1 0=Do not lock libraries in the library search list 1=Lock libraries in the library search list

Press Enter to continue.
F3=Exit F12=Cancel So then, if QLIBLCKLVL is set to 0, the system does NOT lock libraries, so you will NEVER see them with WRKOBJLCK in that case.

Hope that helps,

Mark

Is there anything a program can use to find out what jobs have locks on a library, something analogous to doing a WRKOBJLCK on the library? I see that WRKOBJLCK appears to only have screen and printer output.
