What is your recommendation, suppose I change my selection

to my programs?

What will happen to the programs would _not_ be a CPF4131 [the message that diagnoses a level check error condition]. Thus to have recompiled LF source [with the noted changes in the DDS source] using CRTLF LVLCHK(*NO) would achieve nothing.

Although some changes to the program may be desirable to take advantage of the changed logical file, nothing about the layout of the data has changed with respect to the program, so the feature of /level checking/ would be of no use, neither to infer compatibility nor to diagnose an incompatibility, between the changed file and the assumptions about the keys & selection that were compiled into the current version of the program(s). The programmer or the rules that were defined in the CMS would have to effect any necessary recompiles.
