We install Tomcat all the time at customers - we don't use the old one IBM used to support - we go out and get the one that's current. Or at least close!

I think there is a special format needed for IWA - seems I heard Tim Rowe say that - he is in charge of that area at IBM - you might want to ask IBM support or just go out to the iwa website. I don't have the link handy, sorry.

Oh - and this would probably be answered better on the WEB400 list. Before David tells you.

All,

Here is the situation. We have a J2EE application currently running on the I, on Tomcat 5.5.15 at V5R4.

Now we've upgraded our development system to V6R1. I see that tomcat isn't supported, however for giggles, I installed and got Tomcat running. I deployed the application fine and it's running fine, however, some of the powers that be, aren't comfortable with running Tomcat on the I when all mighty IBM says it's not supported. Me, I'm in the camp that if it's not broke, don't fix it. But, oh well.

So, I tried to deploy the app on the Managed Integrated Web Application Server. When I try to deploy the app, it tells me that the WAR file is not valid.

So, I can deploy on Tomcat, but not on IWA. Is there any way to tell what's wrong with the WAR file? And, do any of you more seasoned iSeries guys see a problem with running Tomcat on the I at V6R1?

Thanks,

Mark.
