I have no idea Steve but you've now been ID'd by DHS for that BOMBCODE
parm...

Subject: PMTCTL question

All -

IMO, IBM's documentation is severely lacking when it comes to Command
creation. I have created a command (see source below) that will be
used to
update the Date and Software Protection Code in the QJDF data area.

When prompting the command, and if ACTION is changed to *UPDATE, it
displays
the EXPDATE and BOMBCODE parms.

Question:
Is it possible to make EXPDATE and BOMBCODE mandatory if they are being
displayed?

CMD PROMPT('Update QJDF Data Area')

/* Data Area Library */

PARM KWD(DTAARALIB) TYPE(*NAME) DFT(*LIBL) +
SPCVAL((*LIBL) (*ALLUSR)) MAX(1) +
PROMPT('Data Area Library name:')

/* *UPDATE = Show EXPDATE and BOMBCODE parms *

PARM KWD(ACTION) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(7) RSTD(*YES) +
DFT(*PRINT) SPCVAL((*PRINT 0) (*UPDATE +
1)) PROMPT('Update Data Area?')

PARM KWD(EXPDATE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(6) +
PMTCTL(DATECODE) PROMPT('Software +
Expiration Date')

PARM KWD(BOMBCODE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(6) +
CASE(*MIXED) PMTCTL(DATECODE) +
PROMPT('Software Security Code')

DATECODE: PMTCTL CTL(ACTION) COND((*EQ 1))
