You might try POSDATA (now CompSee) or Ryzex for repairs.

Hello everyone,

We use Symbol PDT6846 Bar Code Scanners.

Does anyone know of a way that we can configure the scanner here, at our

site, instead of sending it out?

Specifically, the Device Description.

We sent some out for repairs, and when we got them back, the repair
facility had "hardcoded" the Device Descriptions to something like #6,
#12, etc... My system should be assigning the Device Descriptions to
QPADEVxxxx, like all of our other ones.

Also, does anyone know of a GOOD place to send these to for repairs in
the
USA? We have sent these back and forth now because they can not get the

things to work correctly the first time.

These use Wavelink 5250 wireless, and emulation. It also says TN5250 on

the front of the keyboard. Also 46 key if that means anything to you
(it
is all Greek to me:-)).

Thanx,

Nick
