RE: COMMON Election results

Strong personalities bring diversity to our thought process and allow us to
apply the composite thinking to the problems at hand. I know all of the
board members personally, and there is no better group to tackle the tough
problems ahead of us. We bring diversity in our thinking, but team work in
our approach. We bring different ideas, we listen, we debate, and we find
the best solution for the organization from that thinking. The organization
has made tremendous change in the past 5 years, and if it wasn't for the
economic downturn, we would have been reaping the benefits of those changes
right now. Now, it is going to take a little longer, but we will get those
benefits. Next year is our 50th anniversary of COMMON, and we plan on
being around for hopefully another 50 more. Watch this space. We don't
plan to just stay afloat, we plan to continue the greatness of this
organization that was built on the volunteers of the past 50 years.

I don't know where you are pulling your facts when you are 2000 miles away,
as attendance was effected just as every other conference recently, but expo
was pretty much even, and the number of renewals for next year should bring
us right in line with the numbers for this year. The webinars and other
web events are doing fantastic, and I think you will see even more offerings
coming up.
