Trying to understand a config of a new 520 for a friend, replacing an old 9402-236 (14 years old).

1. Is there not a 1/4 cartridge avail in the low end new 520's?
2. If a single user has 3 open sessions of iSeries Access, is that count as 3 i5/Os users? and 3 iSeries Access users?
3. Config lists 5761 WDS with feat 1602 OTC ILE Compilers.
Does this include the S36 RPG compiler? or is that what was called Heritage Compilers?

#1 You can get an EXTERNAL SLR60 or SLR100. after you add a controller for it.
The internal Tape and Disk use the SAS interface.
You can get one of the following INTERNAL tape drives LTO4, 80/160 DAT (DAT160), 36/72GB $mm DAT

#2 User Based Licensing is based on Persons. If A PERSON had 4 PCs/Dumb tubes etc on their desk and signed on to each one with the same of different profile and that PERSON was the only PERSON using those devices then that is '1' License. I walk up and start using any of those sessions then I also need a license. Licensing is also is based on CONCURRENT USERS. A max of 10 persons sign on during day shift, those sign off and go home and 10 other persons sign on as long no more than 10 persons are ever signed on then you will only need 10 licenses for IBM i/i5OS.

#3 I would say NO you will need to Purchase the Hertiage (RPGII, RPGIII, RPGIV etc NON-ILE) compilers. Also be aware at V6.1 WDS is licensed by NAMED USER which differs from the OS Concurrent Users. For WDS If you have 3 different persons using WDS then you need 1 licenses.
