Another option is to use a POP3 retrieval API such as our POP/400
product.

You can retrieve text emails and file attachments from the iSeries or
any other POP3 server.

Where does the AS/400 store its emails?

IFS folders under /qtcptmm/mail/ if you're using the IBM i SMTP server.
You can use stream file api(s) to pragmatically read directories and
stream files. Or use option 5 on the WRKLNK screen.
