The problem is that many of the better EDI translators seem to think that, 
since we are not on PC's, our pockets are infinitely deep.  For years we 
kept EDI on a separate machine just because the cost to put it on the main 
machine was exorbitant.  Then the boss said "damn the torpedoes" and we 
did it anyway.

Perhaps you can find a pase based version?  Will you be able to debug it 
using any of your i based knowledge?  No.  But technically it will qualify 
as "keeping it on the i".  Can you tell that, IMO, saying pase is i based 
has about as much merit as saying so is Windows running on an IXS card?
