CIMOM appears in Network, Servers, User defined (on most lpars)
FTP and TELNET should appear in Network, Servers, TCP/IP

What version of OS are you at?
Do you have 57##TC1 TCP/IP Connectivity Utilities for i5/OS installed?

Rob:

That system has most things on it that can be installed on a V6R1 system, since we have to test under many configurations.

Near as I can tell for my problem, it's a matter of matching the version of Navigator with i5/OS(i). I was looking via iNav V5R3 yesterday. When I use System i Navigator V6R1, everything shows up, except CIMOM.

Whether a similar mismatch matters in your case, including PTFs and/or Navigator service level,...?

Here, CIMOM lists under TCP/IP servers in iNav V5R3 and not at all under System i Nav V6R1. The IBM SLP Server is alone under User-Defined in both cases.

I don't know if the "Server special value" is used by Navigator to organize its lists. Perhaps IBM needs to synchronize PTFs and service levels to get things matched up.
