Not everyone's friend. While this list doesn't give me many concerns, I like to see where a link is going to direct me. It's more than possible to create a tinyurl.com that casts a vote on a website you have no interest in supporting, and you'll only find out after you've gone there blindly.
I won't trust a tinyurl unless I also trust the person sending it to me.

You can use this form: http://preview.tinyurl.com/b5luh8 instead.

When I create a tinyurl, I try to remember to supply the original along with it. The recipient can choose which to use. The recipient can also choose to insert [preview.] into the tinyurl whenever a questionable one shows up.

Finally, browsers can be configured through the tinyurl.com site to present 'previews' automatically by setting a cookie. No need to use the [preview.] form. The tinyurl homepage has a 'Preview Feature' link in the left-hand navigation area.
