Out of curiosity how are you writing the HTML? Are you writing RPG programs
to output HTML? JSP or JSF?

I too agree that I don't know that we need a GUI when there are so many
options already there. I assume people want some kind of thick client
instead of a green screen. I personally would not want to see IBM put out a
Windows style GUI for the i.

Yeah, I should have qualified my statement. I prefer to steer clear of the
IBM i HTTP server administrative console because the UI is so tedious.

And to be honest, when folks call for a native GUI, most the time I don't
know what they're talking about. But I generally get the idea that they
don't want Websphere middleware. And they do want a programming interface
comparable to a display file interface. And they don't want to learn HTML,
CSS, and JavaScript. And the UI must be productive and efficient. And if
those conditions are met, then they'd happily crank out new applications
that would propel the platform into the future. And I tend to believe them.
