The interface to the HMC in V7 of the HMC code is completely browser
based. Even for the console physically attached to the machine.

The problem is that IBM has a GUI but most people continue to use the
character based interface instead.
IBM also has ways for people to convert character based screens to GUI but
it's lipstick on a pig.
A rewrite of applications are needed.
