Thanks for all of the help. I was able to get in.

I was in working for a while, setting up new users to be used rather than
the default, went to get back in and now am getting:

Console Internal Error

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Details:

HTTP status code: 500

The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from
fulfilling this request.

java.lang.NullPointerException

Any ideas? I can wait until tomorrow to see if it mysteriously goes away

When in the local browser hmc session click on the "Help". In the
search
type in remote browser. The first hit should say something like (and
you'll find "Remote Operation" in "HMC Management" underneath
Administration):

Remote Operation
Use this task to control whether this Hardware Management Console (HMC)
can be operated using a web browser from a remote workstation.

By default, remote browser access to the HMC is enabled. This task
allows
you to easily enable or disable remote browser access.

Note:
HMC tasks that require removable media cannot be performed remotely.

Enabled
Click Enabled to allow remote operations of this HMC. Accessing this HMC
remotely from a web browser allows remote operation of its defined
objects.
Disabled
Click Disabled to prevent remote operations of this HMC.

Once you've done that then simply point your browser to
https://myhmc
Don't forget the 's' in https.

Our HMC is at 7.3.2. I would like to connect to it via a web browser
from
my p/c. How do I do this? I have been searching but can not find any
specific doc on this.
Thanks.
