I experimented with it a few months ago, but determined that the 1d
would do the trick for what I needed.

I found the following DDS within an existing printfile:

BARCODE 42A 132BARCODE(PDF417 +
(*PDF417 5 *MIN 0))

I would make sure that you have all of your print PTFs loaded and if I
recall, you have to be somewhat current on your OS, possibly V5R3 if I
remember correctly.

Look up the infocenter for PDF417 and it should get you going.

Have you had success printing two diminseional barcodes?
I have been exploring that myself recently and have been unable to get
the 2d's to work. I have printed upca and Code3of9 barcodes, just can't
get the pdf417 to work.
