Subject: Re: Block certain commands in interactive sql

There are two exit points for SQL that probably would allow you to lock
it down to inquiry only. Check QIBM_QZDA_SQL1 and QIBM_QZDA_SQL2 in
Infocenter.

Hi group,

one of my friends asked me the following question:

"Is it possible to allow a user to only use certain commands in an
interactive SQL session?"

What he wants to do is make sure that the user can only use SELECT
and not UPDATE, INSERT etc.

But for reasons unknown to me, object security is not an option.

Thanks,
