You have some dated documentation. The Primary partition is no longer
required for currently produced equipment. It was required
when LPARS were
first introduced on the System i.

Ah! Thanks. I just finished up "Inside the AS/400" and "Fortress
Rochester" by Dr. Soltis. But even the latter is a few years old. I
found the part on Java in the latter book to be very interesting. Too
bad Java, as a general language, just has not taken off as well as
anticipated. I rather like Java. And, I still shudder at RPG. Just "not
my style".
