Other considerations:

- What are their policies on keeping a copy of the software on a
"development" partition or box?
- - Some vendors will provide a free key.
- - Some will deeply discount the key.
- - You may find that you won't ever run it, but just want the file
layouts over there to compile your bolt on applications. Then again, your
development box is a good place to test OS upgrades and how they will
affect it.

- What are their policies on High Availability (HA) solutions?
- - Some provide a free temporary key.
- - Some provide a free permanent key.
- - Some want you to call when it happens. Thus they leave you hanging on
- - - What they are going to charge you.
- - - What happens if the one person who knows how to generate a key is
off on holiday at that time.
