A few months ago, we had to consolidate a system into our main production
machine. It was done much quicker than I expected, but there was (at least)
one main problem.

I was able to restore User Profiles to the new system, but they didn't seem
to be able to be used as restored. It seems that they needed a message
queue. So, since I was out of the office at that specific time, the person
trying to hook everyone up DELETED all the profiles and re-added them
manually - and thusly they had a message queue.

I would like to NOT repeat that process. Therefore, what is the correct way
to restore user profiles to our production system in such a way that they
can be used as restored?

Thank you for your time,

Dave
