I have an AXIS 540 print server connected to an IBM 6400 printer and
it's sending out gibberish. That is, test pages and configuration
pages from the print server itself print dollar signs and random
letters with some over-striking of characters. Spooled files print
the same way.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? It used to work just fine.

My first guess would be a problem in EBCDIC to ASCII translation.

My second guess, if the printer is connected by RS232, would be a baud rate problem.

But I'm probably sucking antimatter.
