Could anyone tell me if it's possible to download a whole
thread from the archives?

I'm in the middle of writing a new Web based email client that's geared toward discussion lists like Yahoo Groups and Midrange Lists.

All content is stored in an IBM i database, and there's an option to download a whole thread into a .csv file.

I'm not prepared to suggest this as a solution now, but perhaps a future possibility. I'll post a screen shot:
