I have not had occasion to use any of this stuff, but I did attend a user
group seminar where the IT folks from Bristol Meyers explained how they use
different LPARS on a giant i5 in New Jersey to manage all their South
American factories on BPCS. Each nation has its own LPAR, except Peru &
Chile share one LPAR. Most of the LPAR are in Spanish, while Brazil is in
Portuguese, and the main LPAR for USA is in English.

This way the IT people and tech support people in USA access all the rules
for operating the system in English, while the folks in the other nations
see all their stuff in their language.

Some tailoring is needed, since BPCS Spanish is really European Spanish, not
what is used in South and Central America, and what comes for other
languages does not cover all the help text, messages & so forth, but it
works for them.
