I participated in a Rochester User-Centered Design focus group (I still have
the geeky-looking t-shirt!) about the re-design of the Infocenter in 2003 or
2004, and every one on the panel agreed that the performance of this web
site /sucks/.

Apparently they never took any of our recommendations to heart about getting
rid of all of the Java stuff, which I believe is killing the performance of
the site.

I still mostly use Google to find things on the Infocenter (which is what I
told the Rochester team during the focus group, btw...)

For example:

searching on 'Encrypt data api site:publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter' is
much faster than waiting on the infocenter page to load for using their
search engine.
