i use MagicISO to convert them to .BIN or .ISO files and use those for
PTFs, etc. also i use /QNTC to map to the images which means i don't have
to put the images on the system in order to perform the updates.

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Scott,

As a test and/or work around, try creating the image from a PC.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried many CDs. My main project-at-hand is from a 3rd party
software house, but in trying to solve the problem I've tried CDs from
IBM and from other vendors as well -- all with the same error.

They are all CDs, not DVDs. I can browse them with WRKLNK '/QOPT/*'
with no problem. I can LODRUN on them, no problem. I just can't create
images w/ADDIMGCLGE, despite assurance from the vendor that it works for
them :)

Anyone have that problem?

Can you access the CD's at all in the drive? Are they DVD's in a CD
drive perhaps? IBM may have sent you the wrong media.
