I just checked - yup - security settings up the ying yang - called policies - the V5R2 installation and user guide can be found at

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/books/sm01/c4155181.pdf

Chapter 7 of that manual is the one to see. There are similar manuals at later releases.

There is documentation for it - probably at www.iseries.ibm.com/access - it does have some really nice features - creating PDFs from spooled files, presentation can be attractive. It is configurable, AFAIK - you can adjust things. I thought there were ways to limit what people can do.

Another thing to look at is Host on Demand - a browser-based emulator that gets little mention - part of the Host Access something Package that includes PC5250.

Good luck
Vern

Vern, et al, So it sounds like iSeries Access for the Web is just a web version of the Windows terminal emulator for 5250 from IBM. Yes? And, it sounds like very few folks, so far, know much about how to lock down what it can do vis-a-vis just being able to see messages, job output, and the like generated by jobs started by a user other than the one logged on? But, if anyone knows more, I need to evaluate the viability of this product from a function and security standpoint.
Thanks,
Dave
