Ok Here is the skinny

You need to do an option 21 00 from the front panel which allows you to
go into DST. You will not be able to reset the password QSECOFR using
SST with your current setup, unless you have a secondary ID.

Once you in DST you can change the QSECOFR password, then if your shop's
security procedures allow for it you can take option 13 and change the
option to allow disabled ids to change their password.

Hope this helps.

Be seeing you...B

But CHGDSTPWD only allows it to be reset (*DEFAULT). A new password
can
not be provided at this command. v5r4

I understand and appreciate the importance of seconday user ids. That
is
where I am trying to get to, but I have to be able to sign on first.

First, sounds like, when you ran the CHGDSTPWD command, you set the
password to QSECOFR - the default. Try setting it to something
else.
Remember that in SST the password is case sensitive (bites my butt
every time).

Second, this is why I have a second profile set up in SST with
complete
authority. When I boss (the PC guy) screws things up, I can go
back and
fix them.
