Raw idea is to:
- use the appropriate API to retrieve what
- - LF's, Views and Indexes are based on this file
- - - If the based on comes from SQL then retrieve the SQL used to create
it with another api.
- - What triggers are associated with this file
- - What constraints are on this file
- - Fields and other attributes are in this file
Then you need to determine if the table was changed outside of your change
management. For example, if someone did an alter table or an addpfcst
outside of your change management. If so, then pause at an approval
process to determine whether or not to proceed. So your CMS needs to
track
- what the CMS knew it as,
- what it should become
- and whether it matches what the CMS knew it as
Once you can determine all that, and what to do about it, your knowledge
of the appropriate APIs involved will be to the extent that you'll know
how to apply all those attributes.
