Yeah, Our local iSeries User Group closed down this month after all these
years starting as a S38 Group many moons ago.

check out the agenda and attendance at the just concluded PDC. The future
of C# and the 2nd day keynote, by the director of MSFT research are esp
interesting.

IBM user groups are shutting down, COMMON attendance is down. Judging by the
success of MSFT's events, I dont think the cause is people getting their
technical info online instead of in person. IBM does not invest in languages
and operating systems. MSFT does. IBM tech conference attendance is low.
MSFT conference's have a lot to say and get a lot of people to show up.
