And is there any reason you are not using CPYTOPCD and then dragging the
copied document to your PC? I think that should work.

I am dragging them to a PC so that I can email them to IBM.
CCSID of the files is 37.

Does anyone know how to get the opportunity to select "IBM EBCDIC"?

Rob,

Are you dragging files from the i to a MS server/pc of some kind, or from
a System i to another System i? Do you tag the file with the language
before or after you drag it?

thanks

IBM EBCDIC, not IBM English.

IBM English

When dragging and dropping files from the i using iNav I find that often
simple .txt documents look like gibberish. IBM had me open it with MS
Word instead of Notepad or Wordpad. Then suggest picking a language like
IBM English or something like that. I know that it had IBM in the name.
That worked great. However, now I can't remember where that was and I've
dropped another .txt document.
