Just as an FYI, but programs saved off a v5r2 machine and restored
onto a v5r2 machine won't need a recompile.

Heck as long as they were compiled on v5r2, you could restore them to
a 6.1 machine and not need a recompile.

You are not dealing with Windows.

UGH!!!). I FTP'd save files of all data, source, and object libraries over
to the new machine and restored the libraries. I figured I'd have to
compile everything again but no big deal since there aren't that many
programs. I tried running a simple inquiry program and it worked. I then
tried to run a simple update program which reads a file and updates to a 2nd
file. The program blew up saying it couldn't find the file. I figured I
just needed to recompile and when I did (using option 3 on the programmer
menu) I got this pre-compile error:

MSG ID = SQL1001
SEV = 30
RECORD = 44
TEXT = External file definition for ULNXDH not found

Same error message for the output file. Both statements are the F specs for
the input and output files.

I was signed on as QPGMR and the library containing the data files is in the
library list.

Any guidance for things to check would be greatly appreciated.
