Glad you got this figured out. I just tutored a fellow developer this
morning through creating and using his first function, which led into
- using iNav to find it
- using the view SYSFUNCS
- using a RPGLE subprocedure from a service program (

- binder source
- binding directories.
- service program signatures
- function overloading

IOW my morning was pretty much tied up.

But he sure appreciates not having to manually convert a yyyymmdd numeric
date into a real date, perform the date function, and convert it back into
a yyyymmdd numeric date in every sql statement.
