FWIW ... if you happen to be a registered attendee of COMMON's Directions conference, Erwin Earley's presentations are also posted on COMMON's site for download in PDF format.

I only glanced them over, but they appear to have the same slides, plus a little more, than ones that Jon found.

Erwin's guess (when I asked him at Directions) about the availability of the MySQL storage engine... he guessed that it'd be GA by the end of 2008... but it was only a guess, he couldn't make promises (etc, etc).

Don't get too excited by the title - it is not until you get to page 23 or so that there is anything much on the subject.

One thing I did notice this time through was that existing DB2 tables will apparently not be recognized. Don't know if that is a short term or a long term restriction.

Anyway - thought some of you might be interested.

P.S. There is other useful stuff in the handout concerning configuring SugarCRM, MediaWiki, ZendCart, etc.
