I think the best way to speed the process is to set up a mail router.
That is, in the SMTP Properties in iNav on the General tab enter an IP or
FQDN for the server to do the sending. (Also be sure to check the Forward
outgoing mail to router through firewall check box right below) This is
especially useful if you can say that of the 30K messages, a large
percentage of them will actually be delivered to the server you specify
here. There is no method to tell the system to run more of those
processes.

We routinely do this and see the system pushing a huge volume of
messages to the Mail Router in a big hurry as many of them can be sent in
the same conversation.

iSeries SMTP processes






Is there any way to kick the SMTP processes into high gear to process a
large batch of messages faster? Maybe start multiple QTSMTPCLTD jobs. I
can see a way to control how many QMSF jobs there are running but not SMTP
jobs. And by "large" I mean 30,000 individual e-mails
