Could there be any software other than 5722DG1 that I need that I might
not have installed?

You will need to install java support:
5722JV1 *BASE IBM Developer Kit for Java
5722JV1 5 Java Developer Kit 1.3
5722JV1 6 Java Developer Kit 1.4
5722JV1 7 Java Developer Kit 5.0

Also included on the standard media. No license key :)
Don't forget to apply ptfs after install.

When you successfully start the *admin instance of the http-server there
should be four jobs running.

I then went to a browser and tried to access

http://192.168.0.7:2001

but, even though I can ping that address, the browser said

"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at
192.168.0.7:2001.


Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a
connection."
