This is a programmer's toolkit - lots of utilities to help Unix people be more comfortable with iSeries, among other things - no one take me to task, please - this is from vague memory. VNC is a part of it, emacs, vi, other stuff. I heartily recommend googling on the licensed product number at site:ibm.com.

There's also a README file in library QAPTL, and some source code in a file named SRC of all things! That will lead you to the site, as well as a couple directories in the IFS.

Have fun!

Just installed 5799PTL for an install of LEI. Since I have LEI and ST
support was amazed that I didn't have it installed already. The
description on the download page was extremely nominal. The FAQ link
had nothing on this product. What all does this product do and when and
where do you need it? Based on archives I can see most normal people
went through this in 2005-2006. I can only see references to the LEI
install and something with whiteboards with ST. Any other benefits with
this puppy?
