RDi costs $795 a seat, same as ADTS. For the four non-web guys I'd suggest one seat of ADTS (emergency use) and four seats of RDi (standard development).

For the web developer, I'd probably suggest one seat of RDi SOA (which costs $2000). He can use RDi SOA for basic Java development and limited web development, as well as for RPG development. He can also do EGL which is a very productive web development environment. However, if you're not interested in using Rational tooling for web development strategically, then you're probably better off getting them something like Netbeans or MyEclipse.

Hi all:

There was a lot in information in this forum about the follow on product
for WDSCi (Websphere Dev Studio Client for iSeries).

We are starting to do budgets and I need to give my manager some
information, costs and references. Can anyone suggest any links?

We have 5 RPG programmers. Only one of us does Java and web related
things. Any suggestions about what package or program we go for? We
are running V5R4.

Thanks all

Bill Blalock
