I think you are right. The PT verify does a sort.

I know we've had discussions before about what is the right order to load
images for combined Cume and other Groups. So don't want to rehash that
one.

I downloaded the latest v5r4 cume awhile back and some other groups (Print,
Security, etc.) and put them all in the same image catalogue. Afterwards I
ran the VFYIMGCLG command using the (default) Sort(*NO). The cume (SF99540)
for in _1.bin, _2.bin, etc., order followed by the Groups, which is the way
I inserted them into the catalogue.

I applied that image catalogue to our production system on Saturday. When
one uses image catalogues, the PTF process does another VFYIMGCLG.

A few minutes ago I unloaded and removed the images from the catalogue.
However, I noticed that SF99540_9.bin, _10.bin, and _11.bin were in the
first three slots; the other SF99540 images were at the end (after the other
Groups). Anyone want to hazard a guess (swag or wag) as to why? Does the
PTF VFYIMGCLG use Sort(*Yes)?

Everything seems kosher on both our backup system (which was applied about
a month ago) and production (the one from Saturday). Just curious really.

Thanks.
