Steve,

We had a Nortel Layer 2/3 switch, and we just opened a browser up to
the address of the switch, brought up a nice browser based GUI (needed JAVA
on the PC), and upgraded the firmware on the switch with a simple download
that we brought down from the Nortel website to the PC, and then from the
browser pointed to the file on the PC and it uploaded the driver.

that is what I ended up using. took 30 minutes each time to reboot. I
am asking IBM bladecenter hardware support what to do - they said I
needed TFTP. IBM support is helpful, they just dont seem to know much.
esp anything outside of the module or software they support. The
TFTP process never worked for me. The Nortel switch browser kept
saying "file not found". You have to know a lot to get these things
to work!

thanks,
