I am doing that already.....still trying to figure out why I can use VB
and other programs to access files and tables on the server with ODBC,
literally without trouble and UPS does nothing but screw up.

The ODBC driver moves with the versions of iSeries Access - there is not
an independent distribution. So check your version of iSeries Access and
then the service pack level - you can see the latest at
www.iseries.ibm.com/access
