Select h.order, max(h.total) as headTotal, sum(ifnull(d.amt,0)) as
detTotal
from header as h left outer join detail as d
group by h.order
having headTotal<>detTotal
Not tested.
Keep in mind that you may have a header with no detail records.
This won't handle detail rows with no header rows. But, since you have
referential integrity defined between your header and detail files based
on order number, that can't happen, right?
