We are rolling out an MPLS network now to replace a Frame Relay network (8
sites) and 2 T1's to 2 bigger sites. So far it's been going great :-)

Subject: RE: Running out of twinax consoles...

Since my main system runs twinax, (finally down to one controller), I
have created a backup console as a twinax 3476 device. We also have a
HMC which is the primary console. One of our remote sites does not have
any twinax, we use a LAN console and Serial Console. Some day I will
get our HMC to connect via our soon to be MPLS network. I have not
worked out all the logistics on attaching a remote HMC to a server over
a WAN but I am sure it can be done, that is if you can put a default
gateway into the FSP. Then I have an 820 with no FSP so I use twinax
console. Only one NIC and all the serial ports are in use so I
currently do not have a second choice.

How many on this list have defined two consoles?
