Good question - I tried a couple things.

The QM user profiles are just the regular iSeries user profiles. The settings you can use affect only the user when he/she is in Query Manager - like the SQL statements a person can put into a QM query while in Query Manager. It does not restrict what you can run outside of that environment. And I even tried a simple QMQRY with only &A in it - in other words, one substitution variable. When I ran it in Query Manager and used the statement

create table vern/testtbl (field char(12))

I got a message saying I dd not have authority to run a CREATE TABLE. But when I did STRQMQRY from a command line, I was able to do anything.

Is there a way to list the Query Manager profiles? I looked for a command, like
DSPUSRPRF, and an API, but could not find anything. Googled and searched
Midrange separately, but still came up empty.
