Konrad,

I did a little research at IBM to find out what assistance can be gotten
to help encourage your vendor to move to V6R1. Here's the response I
received:

Hi!
We do a lot to make the ISVs aware of a new release and the value of the
new functions in the release (announce webcasts, websites, email and
telemarketing campaigns, WW education events, ...). We also work to make
sure the ISVs know there are IBM resources to help them (PartnerWorld,
roadmaps, IBM Innovation Centers, Virtual Loaner Program, ...). However,
the strongest motivation for the ISVs to move to a new release is the
demand from their own customer base. We've found that a customer
contacting their ISV directly is usually the most effective way to channel
the request. If they have a Sales rep to work with, they can also
help.

Here's a public website that they can use to check to see which ISV apps
have been registered as supporting V6R1 already. (Note that it is up to
the ISV to supply this information, so this is not a complete list.) -->
