Rob,

I know nothing about guested LPAR's....

But does each storage space appear to the guested LPAR as a disk unit?

I'm wondering if something deep in the (guested) OS performs better when it thinks it has multiple
disks to work with.

Subject: Size of Network Storage Server Spaces for Guested i's

V6R1.
I have a 9408-M25 with two partitions. One is the new guested type. I
originally created one 250GB storage space and must have underestimated
something wrongly because the full system restore blew up because of
space. I added another 100GB storage space and now it seems to be ok.
When talking to IBM they said I should have made my storage spaces smaller
but create more of them. I forgot to ask them why. Why should I make
more, smaller ones?
